Behind every workforce metric are the nurses who care for patients every day. BI12™ helps healthcare leaders better understand the conditions that shape that workforce.

Twelve Domains of Nurse Workforce Well-Being

BI12™ measures workforce conditions across twelve domains associated with nurse well-being, engagement, and retention. It is a descriptive assessment — not a diagnostic instrument — designed to support leadership planning, not replace clinical judgment or employment decisions.

How BI12™ Works

From Assessment to Planning Report

BI12™ follows a structured four-phase process from administration through delivery of a complete workforce planning report.

1
Administer
BI12™ is administered to your nursing workforce. Participation is voluntary. Responses are aggregated at the organizational level.
2
Score
Responses are scored across all twelve domains. Average domain scores and a composite score are calculated and assigned to Balance Tiers.
3
Snapshot
A Workforce Snapshot is generated including domain condition profiles, tier summary, and a descriptive narrative for leadership review.
4
Planning Report
A BP360™ Workforce Planning Report organizes findings into planning focus areas, identifies workforce signal patterns, and provides structured planning guidance.
